The AA battery-powered inverter that ships with this works fine and easy to use. I bought a couple sets of these for a project I am working on and they fit my needs perfectly, I ended up cutting the pack off and soldered the wires instead to a 12v inverter connected to my car's dome light circuit. If you use the product as is the power source is compact and has a clip built it, and should be really easy to hide in any costuming. The wire color is vibrant and adds a nice effect to any project.
