I really like this light, I
even like the ‘bug’s life’ or as it says ‘Insect Insect Mushroom Induction
Lamp’ packaging. It works well in hallways, kitchens,
bathrooms and anyplace you need additional light at night. Off-set plug prongs
still allow you to utilize the other socket. I am just really satisfied. The
dot in the center of the stem is the photocell that senses ambient light and
tells the unit when to turn on and off. The lights turn up slowly as the sun
sets and dim to off slowly in the morning. A nicely light-operated control
engineered design: that turns on and off automatically according to surrounding
environment, basically the darker environment the brighter the light. I read that even if you ran this 24/7, it
would only cost about 31 cents A YEAR each to operate. One regular 5 watt
incandescent night light costs 10 times that amount. Great value.
