originally for the family car, and was debating on this one which is 12000mAh
jump starter and a similar 800A Peak 18000mAh that was rated for cars and
trucks up to 6.0L Gas or 5.0 Diesel Engines.
This one at 400A was more than enough for our car which is only a 4L
engine and is rated up to 5L gas or 3.5L diesel engines. As far
as portable charger come, it has a sturdy carrying case for easy storage and it
comes with a car charger as well as a wall charger.

There are two USB ports to
charge your mobile devices and of course a port to charge your car. If you
click on the power button, the power indicator will come on to let you know how
much power you have left, I have gone 4-6 months without a recharge. To turn on
the flashlight, you have to continue to push down on the power button until the
flashlight comes on. This is a nice feature for when you are stuck somewhere on
the road at light as it has three different flashlight modes.
I would caveat that this
product is great if you live somewhere that has a moderate temperature year
round and drive a vehicle with an engine using 12V and displacing 5L or less
this is very useful. There is a 30 second delay between the time connect it to
your battery terminals (or positive terminal and a ground point) and switch it
on. That gives you time to turn the ignition key (or push button on newer cars). If you live somewhere where the temperature
reaches an upper limit of 140F and a lower limit of around 15-32F be cautious
with the device as the reliability is not made clear in the documentation.
