Product Review: SunPak Universal Travel Adapter

 SunPak universal travel adapter convenient but lacking

I purchased the SunPak Universal Travel Adapter for some frequent international travel I was doing and thought an all in one solution would be more convenient. Of particular note and as other reviewers have stated, this is an adapter, not a voltage transformer. It does not stepdown UK 240v to USA 120v, it does fit into both types of EU sockets but again I experienced the same issues as other reviewers is that this device fits a bit loosely in the outlets and could fall out with items that are heavier.

If you're going to be in an area where they have is grounded outlets, you may be better served finding a grounded adapter to save frustration with improper charging. It’s also a bit limiting with the USB port especially if you need specialty or universal ports for any type of USB2, USB3 or Mini USB. I could see this particular device being handy if you were backpacking for months on end and planning to travel to numerous regions using four or more different types of plugs, otherwise you are better off just bringing individual adapters as they tend to be smaller and lighter.
